Illinois PLTW Certification Visit Requests
Is your school interested in becoming a PLTW Certified school?
Contact University of Illinois Affiliate Director Brenda Pacey to receive assistance with the Certification planning process and to request a Certification visit (bpacey@uillinois.edu or 217/244-5217).
Review and complete NEW national PLTW self-assessment planning materials (www.pltw.org/curriculum/certifications.cfm), and Illinois PLTW supplementary pre-assessment materials (click here)
- Submit National Certification Document #2 (Self-Assessment) electronically (this will go to both national and Illinois PLTW; detailed submission directions will be posted on the national site soon)
- Submit Illinois PLTW Supplementary Pre-assessment and Information Update Survey from electronically to:

High School Certification visits involve visiting PLTW classes and meeting with school, community partners, students, and parents during a one-day visit.
High School and LEA Certification visit fees are $650 per school, with discounted rates arranged for coordinated district-level/multiple school visits.
Middle School recognition process involves online reporting and direct review by national PLTW staff, with a $150 per school fee charged.
